Cardiovascular Lab (CVLab) is delighted to announce that Tim Lenihan has accepted to join its Board of Directors. With his long-term experience in nurturing early-stage medical device projects, Tim will strengthen CVLab’s ability to support disruptive projects in the cardiovascular field.
A serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the medical device field in a variety of disciplines, in 2009 Tim Lenihan co-founded MD Start, the French early-stage medical device incubator, together with Sofinnova Partners and the medtech serial entrepreneur Gerard Hascoet, later partners including Medtronic and Sorin Group, where he helped create and fund 7 companies. Prior to founding MD Start, Tim was CEO and Founder of Contract Medical International GmbH (CMI) a contract developer and manufacturer of catheter-based medical devices. He is currently the CTO & Board Chair of Precardia and board member of LimFlow and Spinal Singularity. Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
